There are a growing number of semiconductor processing applications which propose to use TMAH at high concentrations and sometimes at elevated temperatures. The OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) has been revised as of March 26, 2012 to be aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). Toxic Dust Exposure Monitoring

Matt Call presented a seminar on Toxic Dust Exposure Monitoring to the Snake River Chapter of the ASSE in Boise, Idaho on February 21, 2012. Mr Call reported that the intent of ACGIH is is to replace "total particulate" TLVs with inhalable, thoracic or respirable particulate mass TLVs.  He concluded that we may be underestimating exposures to aerosols and that there are more accurate sampling methods for measuring particulate matter in air than total dust. Process Safety Management

PSM and the National Emphasis Program of OSHA Dr. Beaulieu and Matt Call conducted a Process Safety Management (PSM), 4 hour seminar at the March 29, 2012 Professional Development Conference of the AIHA Teton Section and the ASSE Craters of the Moon Chapter in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
