IHR is pleased to welcome Michael N. Cooper, MS, MPH, CIH, NRRPT to our company. Mike earned his BS in Chemistry at UC Berkeley and masters in Public Health and masters in Chemistry from San Jose State University. He began his career working in the aerospace industry as an analytical chemist. Following certification in industrial hygiene, Mike has developed and directed Environmental, Safety, and Health programs within the semiconductor, medical device, grocery, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and foundry industries both with the US and abroad. He has performed extensive failure analysis investigations following serious injuries and fatalities to identify and correct program gaps, improve corporate safety culture, and manage the associated regulatory issues. Mike has served as the radiation, biosafety, and chemical hygiene officer within industry. Mike serves on an OSHA health expert advisory committee to review and propose permissible exposure limits for regulatory enforcement and teaches in occupational safety and health management and industrial hygiene.
